There has been some talk of a stout event in the winter. I was thinking January would be good? Bring a bottle of your favorite stout or some rare stout and we'll do a sort of impromptu tasting. That's the price of admission. Have a fire, roast marshmallows and weenies. Smores. But also, try to brew as much stout as we can and then save it back until next years second annual stout night. Then we break out a fraction of that brew, keeping back some for next year. We also brew that year. Before you know it, we have a sort of vertical thing going. If we could brew enough stout (55 gallons), then we could try and get a bourbon barrel from Kentucky! Or somewhere more local.
thank you all so much to everyone that came out to support and to volunteer. last night we were able to realize in action what a great community of brewers, and beer/cider enthusiasts we are. its was an awesome turnout and wonderfully positive experience for all.
It most certainly did. I'm still floored that we all pulled off such a great event! Thanks errybody for coming out. enash, that's one terrific looking picture, by the way.
