I need two volunteers who want to make lagers for the upcoming workshop on march 31. I will provide you a healthy yeast pitch, yeast nutrition, oxygen, and a little lager making advice. For one person I will also bring my BIAB set up and show you how to do a BIAB mash. So you don't even have to use the mash tun and will learn a new way of mashing.
What I need from you is the ingredients for a lager beer 1.050-1.055. You need to bring hops, grain, 5 gal RO water if brewing a pills, and the ability to stop at the brew house the next day to pitch....or must wait until the wort reaches 50 degrees for pitching temp.
You also need to be a brewer level member with 24 hr access and must book the slot for the 1200-500pm timeframe on march 31
please reply to this thread if your interested...... the first two who respond wins...... If your interested in trying the BIAB method also state that ....I only have the ability to do that for one of you.
here is list of ingredients for a pills i have been playing with....but feel free to do what ever you want...as long as its a lager style 1.050-1.055
11p continental pills malt
1 oz perle hops for bittering
1-2 oz of any nobel hop for flavor
Thanks for playing ....this is a great way to start the spring........mmmmmm pills beer
oops...I forgot sunday was Easter.....so I had to change the class to saturday night. I booked a slot for any volunteer that still wants to brew a lager. I will have two yeast pitches so anybody else that wants one let me know. If no one volunteers then I will brew...and ill have 3 kegs of pillisner at my house...I guess there are worse things in life... :)
If you want to brew book a slot for the time frame of the class
thanks....sorry for the confusion
