While sipping on Brandon's White IPA tonight, we discussed potentailly doing a pigskin pickem pool. I'm putting up this message to guage interest and see if we can get enough people in a pool to make it fun and interesting. Some quick bullets explaining how it will work below:
- Every week you look at 16 NFL matchups and pick a team that you think will win. If you pick the correct team, you'll get some points
- You also rank how confident you are in a team beating another team...16 for most confident; 1 for least. All this factors into your overall point total.
- We will use ESPN sports to run the pool...its free. But we will have a one time $50 buy-in per person to cover the whole season.
- Each week the person with the largest point total will recieve a payout...in addition there will be an end of season pay out too for the person with the largest cumulitve points total.
- We can make it easy and use Venmo to pay dues...as well as to pay the weekly and end of season winners.
- The more people we have, the bigger the payouts and the more fun. This would be open to CHAOS members and friends and family.
There's a realitvely short turnaround on this since the season is starting very soon...so if you interested respond here and if there is enough interest we will get a pool started ASAP.

Additonally, each person will need to send in dues of $50 through Venmo. My user name is dawilliams83. I will use this same method to pay out both weekly and season end winners.
Also I was thnking about this payment structure:
22% : 1st Place (Season)
10%: 2nd Place (Season)
4%: Each week's winner (for 17 weeks)
If we only have 10 ppl it would be about 110 for season winner, and 20 for weekly winner...but with more than 10, the money pool will increase and both weekly and year end winners will recieve more.
Hey David! So I clicked the link and was able to find CHAOS when I searched all groups. There is nowhere to allow me to join, though.

Make sure you create an account first, then follow the link while logged in. You should see "Join Group" button, and then a check box to allow you to click and again hit join group.
Alternatively, you can go to the ESPN website (http://games.espn.com/nfl-pigskin-pickem/2017/en/) and select the "GROUPS" tab. Scrool down and enter CHAOS in the search bar. The group should be the second one down. At this point you can click the "Play Now for free" Button...and either sign in or create an account. Once you are logged in click the "Join Group" button.

2. Sing up for an ESPN games account...its free.
3. Click join group. If you need it, Pass: Hubbard
4. Make your picks before the first game on Thursday night.
5. Don't forget to send in you dues: $50 thru Venmo. My venmo is @dawilliams83. This is how we will pay out the top winner each week & Season end top 2 people.
