Derek, I will be brewing my batch on monday or tuesday of next week.  As long as you still have enough grain and hops for this recipe I will be stopping at the brewhouse on Saturday to pick the ingredients up.  Let me know how you would like me to pay you.  I can paypal you the money if you would like.

Thanks Thomas, I will be at the Brew house this Saturday to pick up the rest of the grain for this imperial red before I go to work.  Will you be at the brew house within the next few days?  If so, could you leave it there and I will pick it up on Saturday when I pick up the other grains?

Does anybody have 15 pounds

Does anybody have 15 pounds of 2 row I can have?  I can pay you back once the group grain purchase comes in or I can pay you cash.  My local homebrew shop wants 1.70 per pound of 2-row which is ridiculous.

cool man.  In the grain room,

cool man.  In the grain room, in a box labeled bondy barrel, you can grab 3 packs of munch and a bag of the caramel 80 with the carapils inside it.  The hops are in the freezer in a white bag, rubber banded in zip lock bags.

Derek,

Derek,

As long as someone is available to open the brewhouse, I should be a go for Wednesday.  I already have the hops, along with most of the specialty grains (except for carapils, and I can pick that up when I pick up the yeast).  If it doesn't bother you, I can use my own ingredients.

Awesome, Daniel.  I can brew it this week if an alchemist is available.  I could do it Tuesday at the earliest, since I'd have to get a starter going tomorrow.  Wednesday works as well.

Thanks Adam!  Your efforts would be much appreciated!

Now we just need one more batch/brewer.

A more realistic fill date will have to be Saturday, March 24.  I am out of town the weekend before.

I would definitely like to

I would definitely like to brew 5 gallons for this barrel if you still need brewers.  Would anyone with some spare 2-row be willing to front me until my sack comes in from the group buy in a month or so?  I'd prefer to pay ~.60/lb vs $1.50/lb at Brew and Grow on a grain bill this large.

For myself, i'm doing 2

For myself, i'm doing 2 batches. I did one today and I'm doing another brew session the middle of this week.

the other 9 etc to fill the barrel.

On a side note,

Its not Collin, Bill or Jim or anyone else's fault. I know we're all just trying to do the best that we can, however, It sucks that I invested in all the specialty grains and hops and Collin couldn't get into the brew house to pick them up.  If this continues I'm gonna be broke.  Its a bummer to front ingredients and leave them at the wonderful brew house that nobody can get into.

all the specialty grains and hops are at chaos.  We need to get the rest of the batches brewed.  Let me know how your progress is going.  So for 2, 3 batches are underway.

Thanks Bill. I'll be brewing at home so like I said I just need to pop in for a minute to grab those grains that Derek is storing there. Would it be too much trouble to stop in for a minute before the Saturday class starts? If so it's no problem; it looks like someone will be brewing Sunday morning so i can just stop by then.

Thanks again!

Bill,

Bill,

I'm sorry to reply so late. My iphone wont post to this site for some reason.

The Barrel fill will happen on March 10th, since I still need 3 more brewers.

That Beersmith gives that fermentation schedule is pretty wacky.  I definitely didn't specify that.  I'm probably keeping my batches in the primary till they are barreled.

beersmith and xml files are

beersmith and xml files are posted, plus a pdf but the pdf is for my setup...

The grains are upstairs in a box labeled Bondy Barrel. Just grab a plastic bag. (some of the munichs are different, oh well)

The hops are in the freezer door in a white plastic bag.  The hop additions are weighed out separate in ziplock bags.  The ziplocks are rubber banded together, so just grab a bundle.

I think I just need 4 more ppl. So far, Derek, Derek, Tommy, Bill, Dave, Daniel and Kyle.

My guess is that you haven't

My guess is that you haven't seen a lot of people volunteer because it's been sitting unccleaned for a long time.  I think a lot of people are afraid of having their big beer infected.  I'll give it a shot for the hell of it.

Cleaning it is definitely a step in the right direction.

derek, any news on the

derek, any news on the specialty grains?  I'll brew for the barrel as soon as you have those up.  Can you remind me when you planned on cleaning out the barrel?  The sooner the better as the longer you wait, the longer bacteria has to set up a decent colony deeper into the wood grain, possibly to parts of the barrel that the solution may not be capable of reaching effectively.

Citric acid and the

Citric acid and the metabisulfite can both be purchased from brew and grow. I have some citric acid left at the brew house but not positive if it is enough. You need to look at the printout, with my notes on it, in the office at the brewhouse that has all the specific instructions and measurements for each step.

Yes,

Yes,

I understand that. I have a big box of washing soda. I need to get the other chemical powder. I've had some messaging with Kyle. Other people haven't gotten back to me. I'm helping friends move this next weekend, so I'm gonna do it in February. I understand it is a 48 hr process of two separate washings.
