Ok boys and girls, I think we're ready to get this buy going. Thanks to Dave, Canuck, and Josh S for testing out the system. I already have the products imported and everything setup here on the production server as of last night.
So who is going to be responsible for organizing everything, and what are going to be the start and stop dates?
I agree with Chris, I think the end date should be after stout night but I think we could get started a bit earlier since we've been talkinga bout it for a while.
Also, who are the folks that are going to be in charge of this one?
Ok, we are going to be starting the group buy as soon as we get everything setup and ready to roll. Pallet #1 should be open on Monday the 20th. If there are any delays I will notify through this thread. We will only be doing grain for this order. The Pallet will fill at 42 bags. I don't anticipate the pallet filling super fast, but in the event that it does, we will not be placing the order until after stout night. This will give us a chance to clean up and clear the brewhouse for accepting an order.
I will start another thread for Pallet #1 in a few days. This will be the best place to make any needed comments or questions. I will also post the pick-up date in this thread. Please keep in mind that once the pick-up date is established, you will need to arrange for pick up of your grain. This can be another designated person if you are unavailable. We will not store ordered grain in the brewhouse for more than 48 hours.
I would again just like to emphasize, we would like to do a grain buy every 3-4 months. So try not to over buy. If one was to brew twice a month @ 12lbs base grain per batch you would only go through two sacks of grain in 4 months. So please try to limit your purchase to 2-3 sacks. Team up with others to get half sacks.
Finally, one storage spot at the brewhouse will only hold 1.5 sacks of grain (assuming storage in 5 gallon buckets) There is not going to be many storage spots open after the alchemists get storage, so dont count on this as an option.

Oh... my... god. Why haven't we done this? http://thechive.com/2013/09/17/guys-rig-up-buddies-plumbing-with-beer-wh...
I motion the buy starts after Stout Night once everything is cleaned up and the brew house back to normal.
Well we can get the buy started earlier. It is going to take a week or so to get everything together and then their is time for delivery.

I'd be willing to help coordinate this buy. I can certainly call the order in.
